Metropostnews.com – PASTEL adalah Band Britrock atau band Madchester seperti layaknya band pendahulu mereka The Stone Roses,The Verve, The Charlatans U.k dan masih banyak lainnya.
PASTEL beranggotakan lima orang dan mereka telah menandatangani kontrak dengan label independen Manchester, yaitu Spirit of Spike Island. Band ini terbentuk pada sekitar tahun 2017, karena rangkaian peristiwa yang tidak terduga anak – anak muda Manchester ini sepakat mendirikan sebuah band.
Personil dari PASTEL adalah dua bersaudara Jack Yates (Vokalis) dan James Yates (gitar Rhythm) mereka adalah saudara sepupu. Untuk melengkapi band nya Jack dan James kemudian mengajak Swansea Joe Anderson (gitar utama), Rhys Wheeler (Drum) dan Liam O’Shea (bass).
Banyak nya pengaruh musik dari band Manchester kepada Jack and James, seperti The Stone Roses, The Charlatans dan The Verve memicu terbentuknya PASTEL. Mereka memiliki “kesombongan” dengan menjadikan mereka sebuah band namun di ikuti penulisan lagu yang bertanggung jawab, atas kebangkitan mereka melalui dunia musik.
Beberapa single lagu mereka keluarkan seperti ” Blu”, “Rabbit Run Rabbit”, ” Where We Go” dan “Deeper Than Holy”.
Terlebih single “She Wait For Me” yang cukup banyak menyita perhatian baik di Youtube dan Digital Platform musik seperti Spotify. Dampak positif terhadap PASTEL di mulai saat BBC Radio Manchester dan BBC Radio 6 menyiarkan lagu mereka setelah mereka melihat sesi Virtual nya. “anak-anak ini membawakan pertunjukan yang layak untuk Glastonbury dari ruang tamu mereka” ujar penyiar radio BBC sesaat setelah memutar lagu mereka.
“Saya merasa kesuksesan itu memang pantas. Hal-hal yang kami keluarkan sebelumnya tidak profesional dan kualitas rekaman kami tidak mencerminkan potensi kami yang sebenarnya. Kami selalu tahu betapa bagusnya kami, tetapi hanya butuh rekaman yang tepat agar orang lain bisa melihatnya” ujar james dalam sesi wawancara dengan The Independent.
Saat ditanyakn mereka saat ini ingin berkolaborasi dengan musisi siapa Jack dan James mengatakan ” kami terinspirasi oleh The Charlatans, hal terakhir yang saya dengarkan adalah Happy Mondays dan saya pikir kami akan berkolaborasi dengan baik dengan The Verve”

PASTEL Restarts Madchester Movement Revival
Metropostnews.com – PASTEL is a Britrock band or Madchester band like their predecessors The Stone Roses, The Verve, The Charlatans U.k and many others.
PASTEL consists of five members and they have signed a contract with Manchester’s independent label, Spirit of Spike Island. The band was formed around 2017, due to an unexpected series of events, these young Manchester boys agreed to form a band.

The many musical influences from Manchester bands to Jack and James, such as The Stone Roses, The Charlatans and The Verve triggered the formation of PASTEL. They had the “arrogance” of making them a band but followed by the songwriting that was responsible, for their rise through the music scene.
Some of their singles released such as “Blu”, “Rabbit Run Rabbit”, “Where We Go” and “Deeper Than Holy”.

The positive impact on PASTEL started when BBC Radio Manchester and BBC Radio 6 broadcast their songs after they saw the Virtual session. “These kids are putting on a show worthy of Glastonbury from their living room,” the BBC radio announcer said shortly after playing their song.
“I felt the success was well deserved. The things we put out before were unprofessional and the quality of our recordings didn’t reflect our true potential. We always knew how good we were, but just needed the right recordings for other people to see,” James said in a statement. interview session with The Independent.
